GLEN ELLYN, IL — Lake Ellyn Park will once again light up with paper lanterns as visitors join in the Glow in the Park Lantern Walk to raise money for Lurie Children's Hospital. This year's event is slated for Sept. 15 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.

Participants can bring their own paper lanterns (while supplies last) or buy one onsite for $10 cash and decorate it ahead of the walk. At 7:15 p.m., attendees will illuminate their lanterns and walk around the perimeter of Lake Ellyn.

Other family-friendly activities planned for Glow in the Park include face painting, live music from Tres Moustaches, an inflatable obstacle course and balloon twisting. Food will be available to purchase at the event.
