Weather is Hot, But the Jazz is Cool
Jazz in Glen Ellyn opens at 3 p.m. today. Headliner and Grammy-winning drummer Paul Wertico will take the stage at 9:30 p.m.
Jazz in Glen Ellyn will be held on Main Street today, Saturday. Main Street will be closed to traffic between Crescent Boulevard and Pennsylvania Avenue for the free event that will open at 3 p.m. Performances will begin at 3:30 p.m. In the spirit of an outdoor event, bringing your own chair is encouraged and appreciated.
The lineup for the event features Chicago area talent. The performers and their show times are:
3:30 p.m. BakerzMillion, a jazz sextet that performs original compositions by co-leaders Andy Baker on trombone and Steve Million on piano.

5 p.m. Typhanie Monique, a vocalist with influences from a range of genres, including jazz, funk, hip-hop, pop and improvised freestyle.
6:30 p.m. Marshall Vente & Tropicale, jazz pianist, composer and arranger.

8 p.m. John Moulder Quartet. Guitarist and composer Moulder will play songs, including those from his latest release, “The Eleventh Hour: Live at the Green Mill.”
9:30 p.m. Paul Wertico All Star Quintet. Headliner Wertico is a Grammy-winning drummer.
Local vendors will serve food, beer and wine. Coolers are not allowed into the festival, and alcoholic beverages must be purchased onsite.
