'Home-Staging' Chapter Tackles Glen Ellyn Mom-of-Four’s Townhome
After the family received a home through Habitat of Humanity, a local realty chapter doubled the blessing with an ultimate professional makeover.

The unincorporated-Glen Ellyn townhome of Ann Marie Andexler’s family—which the single mom-of-four received a year ago through a Habitat for Humanity program—played host to a different “miracle” in September, as the Greater Chicago Chapter of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals gave it a complete makeover, the Suburban Life reports.
According to the paper, the home stagers (professionals in realty who rearrange home interiors to make them look attractive to buyers) picked Andexler’s home to sponsor for their World Wide Staging Service Week; the members added a bevy of new furniture and decorations, as well as items with special meaning to the Andexler family.
“It’s a feel-good project even as we’re doing it and we’re planning it, and you just know it makes you feel good too,” Lee Colbourne, project co-ambassador, told the paper.
