Today's kids do a lot. Not only do they have school, but many students in Glen Ellyn are also involved in clubs, extracurriculars, sports, volunteering and still manage to somehow fit in time to hang out with their friends.
Our schools ask a lot of students too. Classes get harder with each new generation, more students are told the necessity of enrolling in AP and Honors level classes and have hours of homework each night as well.
So, my question today is how much should kids do? How much is too much? Do you think parents today push their kids too hard, or not hard enough? At a certain point should kids just be kids?

Also, moms are usually the ones in charge of keeping their children's schedules and making sure they follow through on their commitments. When your kids are really active, does it put too much pressure on Mom as well?
