Live Music, Apple Cider Donuts, Face Painting To Kick Off Fall At OAKtoberfest

The annual event is set for Oct. 4 at Maryknoll Park in Glen Ellyn.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Glen Ellyn Park District will welcome fall with an afternoon of seasonal festivities for OAKtoberfest on Oct. 1 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Maryknoll Park.

The festival will feature live music from The Fall Guys, in addition to games, interactive crafts and other family-friendly activities. Kids can make crowns from leaves, talismans from acorns and take a walk that brings to life the story “Acorn Was a Little Wild!”

An obstacle course, a treasure hunt, "a-corn hole," platform tennis and face painting will also be offered.

Attendees can purchase apple cider donuts and apple cider to get a taste of the spirit of autumn. Two Hound Red will be on hand to sell their OAKtoberfest brew to guests 21 and older.

“We’re thrilled to host OAKtoberfest and bring together families and friends from across the area for a day of fun, learning, and connection,” Courtney O'Kray, Superintendent of Marketing and Communications at Glen Ellyn Park District, shared in a statement.
