GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn officials will gather Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. to discuss potential redevelopments to two Roosevelt Road corridor hotel sites.

The ad hoc workgroup meeting will review a Charette report that studied 27 development scenarios that included multi-family housing, commercial buildings and mixed use buildings. The proposed housing scenarios would involve residential properties along Taft Avenue.

The Charette report developed five possible results for changes to the former hotel sites, which were purchased by Glen Ellyn in January. The purchase was made with the aim of redeveloping the sites into multifamily or affordable housing, retail and restaurant sites or mixed-use developments in an effort to "breathe new life" into the business corridor, Village President Mark Senak said in a January news release.
