More Parking To Become Available In Downtown Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Customers, commuters and business owners will have more parking options in downtown Glen Ellyn in 2023, as the village plans to make use of the former U.S. Bank parking lot, change the area of the Pennsylvania West Lot and expand additional parking options.

Overnight parking permits will be available for a cost of $100 semiannually. Permit holders will be able to park from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. in the following lots:

  • Civic Center garage
  • Main and Crescent lot (in designated spots)
  • Main Street Glenwood extension lot
  • Pennsylvania West lot

The other changes set to take effect as of Jan. 1, 2023, are as follows.

Commuter Parking

Fifty-five commuter parking spaces will be added inside the Glen Ellyn Civic Center parking garage.

Business Owner Parking

Twenty merchant parking spots will be added to the Main Street extension parking lot. Those with blue dot parking will not have a change in their prices and will be able to park in the U.S. Bank parking lot.

Free Customer Parking

Free customer parking will be available in the U.S. Bank parking lot. In select areas, free parking will begin at 11 a.m.and in the Main Street Glenwood extension lot, free parking will start at 3 p.m.
