New Assistant Village Manager Named For Glen Ellyn
Sabrina Irizarry was chosen from a pool of more than 40 candidates for the assistant village manager position.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Sabrina Irizarry has been chosen as the new assistant village manager of Glen Ellyn. Irizarry, who currently serves as village management analyst, was selected from a field of more than 40 candidates.
“I was attracted to the Assistant Village Manager position for the opportunity to further serve the Glen Ellyn community, working alongside experienced Village leaders, and to continue collaborating with community partners and residents,” Irizarry said in a statement.
She added, “I am excited to work with Village staff and the Village Board in achieving the goals and visions for the community.”

Irizarry has worked for the village for 12 years and was formerly a patrol sergeant in LaGrange. She also taught at the College of DuPage Suburban Law Enforcement Academy.
Irizarry earned a bachelors degree in political science at Loyola University, and a master's degree in public administration at DePaul University.

In the assistant village manager role, Irizarry will helm the village's department operations and help with grant research, budgeting and other financial operations. She will also coordinate technology and human resources for the village.
Irizarry's appointment as assistant village manager begins March 24. She will be sworn in at the April 14 village meeting.
