Oaktoberfest Brings Apple Donuts, Fall Family Fun To Maryknoll Park
Oaktoberfest will kick off a season of fall fun with live music, nature walks and more at Maryknoll Park.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Maryknoll Park will be filled with family-friendly fall festivities for Oaktoberfest 2024 on Oct. 5. The annual event will feature an oak tree planting demo, live music from School of Rock, apple cider donuts and more.

1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m.: Guided nature walks

2:15 p.m.: Oak tree planting demo
Throughout the event, kids can get their faces painted, play a game of "acorn-hole" and craft their own wooden bookmarks. There will be an acorn-inspired obstacle course and an oak tree-themed treasure hunt.
Other activities include a tree art project and a demonstration of how to make recycled paper, courtesy of SCARCE. Apple donuts and apple cider will offer a taste of fall, while adults 21 and older can enjoy seasonal Oaktoberfest beer from Two Hound Red.
