Officer, Driver Hurt In Crash Involving Squad Car In Glen Ellyn

The crash took place around 11 a.m. Wednesday, near the intersection of Briar Street and Roosevelt Road.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — A police officer and the driver of another car were hurt during a crash that involved a marked squad car in Glen Ellyn late Wednesday morning.

The crash took place around 11 a.m. near the intersection of Briar Street and Roosevelt Road. According to a news release, the crash caused the passenger vehicle to roll over.

That car's driver and the police officer driving the squad car were taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.

Per the news release, the driver of the passenger vehicle was cited for failing to yield at an intersection. The crash is under investigation by the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.
