Olive Oil Store Wins Glen Ellyn Retailer Of The Year

Olive 'n Vinnie's was awarded retail business of the year at the Glen Ellyn Community Awards Breakfast on March 4, according to My Suburban Life.

Customers can get a taste for the variety of olive oils and balsamic vinegars offered by the store at 65 sample stations.

"It is difficult to compare the taste of quality oils unless you have the opportunity to open several containers at the same time, not something a consumer usually does," according to the store's website.

Gary and Karen Evensen own the store, and they seek to provide a personal experience to their customers

"I give my cell phone number out," Karen Evensen told My Suburban Life. "People can call me anytime. I've had people call me when I am in my jammies with a glass of wine in my hand."

The store's hours are the following:

• Monday through Friday: 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
• Thursday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Closed on Sunday
