Open House Scheduled For Glen Ellyn Comprehensive Plan

Press release from the Village of Glen Ellyn:

In July 2018, the Village hired Houseal Lavigne Associates to assist in drafting a New Comprehensive Plan. The previous Comprehensive Plan was completed in 2001. The Village Board is committed to updating the plan through a public engagement process.

The public will have the opportunity to view a full draft of the Comprehensive Plan in the following formats:

Open House (In-Person)

An open house meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 18, 2020. The open house will be held in the second floor gymnasium of the Civic Center from 5 - 7 p.m. As the number of people in the room will be limited, a Signup Genius is available here for those interested in attending. Social distancing and masks will be required.

Open House (Virtual)

An additional remote open house will take place via Zoom on Thursday, November 19 from 6-7 p.m. Zoom participation details and information will be available soon on the Comprehensive Plan website.

Following the open house meetings, additional opportunities for public participation in the Comprehensive Planning process will take place at three public hearings before the Plan Commission as well as a Village Board workshop and a regular Village Board meeting. The first of three public hearings is expected to take place on Thursday, December 10.
