GLEN ELLYN, IL — More than 100 drivers were ticketed for speeding during a recent safety campaign in Glen Ellyn. The July crackdown was part of a statewide initiative to target speeding drivers. Below is the breakdown of citations issued by officers in Glen Ellyn during the safety campaign. <ul><li>101 speeding tickets </li><li>2 drivers cited for suspended or revoked licenses </li><li>2 drivers cited for no insurance </li></ul>Police also recovered a stolen car during the crackdown. "We continue to urge residents and others traveling through our community to slow down and obey speed limits," Glen Ellyn police said in a statement. "The choices you make behind the wheel could help save lives."
