Police Nab Fugitive Wanted for Desertion

While out on patrol on Feb. 26, an officer preformed a traffic stop on Joseph P. Bursby, 21, of the 100 block of Briar St. in Glen Ellyn. Bursby was pulled over near the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Surrey Drive for speeding. He was subsequently charged with a one-count complaint for Fugitive from Justice, a one-count complaint for Possession of Cannabis, and a traffic citation for Speeding.

Police say Bursby was wanted on an out-of-state warrant from Texas for Military Desertion.
