Police Used Excessive Force on College of DuPage Student, Lawsuit Alleges
A former student is suing the college and two police officers for injuring her.
A former College of DuPage student is suing over claims that campus police used excessive force against her in Dec. 2014.
Jaclyn Pazera, who was taking a class at the college, says she was smoking a cigarette outside when a campus cop told her smoking isn’t allowed on campus, according to CBS Chicago.
Pazera said she thought the officer was giving her a warning, and she walked away.

Cell phone video taken by a teacher in the room shows two police officers pulling Pazera to the ground and telling her to stop resisting. She tells the officers she can’t breathe.
Pazera claims the officers injured her wrist and shoulder, CBS Chicago reported. Attorney Blake Horwitz is suing the college and the two officers on her behalf.
