Public Works Director Leaving Village
Glen Ellyn Public Works Director Joe Caracci will be leaving for a position in Bensenville.

Public Works Director Joe Caracci is the latest at the village to announce that he will resign. In a press release on the village website today, the village announced he would be leaving to take a job as the public works director at the Village of Bensenville.
Caracci ends a nine-year career at the village after being hired in 2002 as a project coordinator/ civil engineer. He also worked as assistant public works director before assuming his current position.
"I believe that I have made a significant impact here at Public Works during my employ. I feel I am leaving my Department in a much better state than when I arrived with a specific focus on improved customer service. I have had the opportunity to work for some incredibly talented individuals and have established relationships along the way that I am sure will last a lifetime," Caracci said in the press release.

"Joe's leaving is going to leave a huge, huge, huge hole. That's huge times three," Jones said. "He is an incredible manager, a great engineer... He's one of the reasons this department runs so well."
