Restaurant, Beer Garden, Homes Proposed For Roosevelt Road Hotel Site

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn residents are encouraged to visit the village's website to express their feedback about five potential designed concepts to redevelop the former site of two hotel properties on Roosevelt Road.

Described as an "interactive commenting site" in its "about" section, the online platform includes PDF links to five conceptual plan options. Residents are encouraged to make comments on each of the options and "liking" or "disliking" comments from other users to show their support or disapproval.

In January, Glen Ellyn closed on a deal to pay $2.85 million to acquire the 2.2-acre property along the Roosevelt Road corridor in the hopes of spurring reinvestment in that area. Input sessions were held in late March to give residents a chance to offer feedback.
