Restaurants To Face Off In 2024 Charity Chili Cookoff At Reserve 22

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Chefs from eight area restaurants have been perfecting their chili recipes in anticipation of the 4th Annual Glen Ellyn Restaurants' Charity Chili Cookoff. The highly anticipated event will be held Feb. 25 at Reserve 22.

"Restaurant managers have been telling me their chefs are working hard to create winning chili recipes," Reserve 22 Marketing Strategist Julie Rusin dished to Patch.

She added, "I love how everyone comes together for this fun and worthwhile event!”

Here's a peek at the restaurants who will be vying for chili-making glory in the event:

• Ellyn's Tap & Grill
• Fire + Wine (last year's winners!)
• Main Street Pub
• Maize + Mash
• Nobel House
• Reserve 122
• Shannon's Irish Pub
• Two Hound Red

Attendees will get ample chili samples to allow their tastebuds plenty of opportunities to compare notes. Once they've reached a decision, event-goers can cast their vote for the chili cook-off victor.

Throughout the event, Two Hound Red and Krombacher will offer beer samples to help attendees stay refreshed and cleanse their palates.

Proceeds will benefit the following charities, among others:

• American Legion local chapter
• International Rett Syndrome Foundation
• Naomi's House
• Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
• Tunnel To Towers Foundation
• We Grow Dreams

“We’re excited to host the Glen Ellyn Restaurant Chili Cook-off at Reserve 22 again!” Reserve 22 Food and Beverage Director Jon Satinover said in a statement.

"We love to see the local restaurants come together for such a fun and meaningful event."

Advance tickets are $20 and include chili samples and 12 p.m. admission to chili cookoff.
