Trial Attorney To Take Vacant Seat On Glen Ellyn Village Board

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Glen Ellyn Village Board has appointed attorney Robert Duncan to fill the seat left by the recent death of Trustee Steve Szymanski. Duncan's appointment comes after the board reviewed nearly a dozen applications for the role.

“Bob brings both professional expertise and a lifelong connection to Glen Ellyn,” Village President Jim Burket shared in a statement.

Burket added, “His experience and leadership will be an asset to the Board and to the entire community.”

Duncan is a trial attorney who founded the Chicago-based Duncan Law Group, LLC. He is currently President of the University of Illinois College of Law Dean’s Advisory Board.

Duncan has also served on the Glen House Food Pantry Board of Directors and the Glen Ellyn Civic Betterment Party Nominating Committee.

Duncan will serve as trustee through May 2027, when seat's term ends.
