Village Seeking 'Wayfinding' Feedback

Residents, business and property owners have until June 28 to take the survey.

Residents may know their way around town, but the Village of Glen Ellyn is hoping locals will share their two-cents on wayfinding signs that will eventually be posted around town.

A wayfinding study was conducted and the village chose The Lakota Group and Western Remac to design signs for community wayfinding. Now, the village wants the public to take a survey.

The “wayfinding survey” is available online and will allow residents to help the village select and refine a final design, according to the Village of Glen Ellyn. The survey with three sign designs is available through June 28.

Signs currently found at major intersections in Glen Ellyn and on Park Boulevard, just past Illinois Route 53, were part of a test program, said Planning and Development Director Staci Hulseberg. The signs will be replaced with the new signs once they are approved and budgeted.

Residents, business owners and property owners are encouraged to take the survey.
