10 Glenview Runners Ready For 2024 Boston Marathon

GLENVIEW, IL — The local community will be well-represented at the Boston Marathon on Monday. Ten Glenview runners will take part in the 128th edition of the prestigious race. The Boston Marathon takes place on Patriots' Day in Massachusetts.

According to the race's website, a field of 30,000 athletes will compete in this year's Boston Marathon, which covers 26.2 miles from Hopkinton to Boston. The Boston Marathon is the world's oldest annually run marathon.

You can see the list of Glenview residents running below. Five of the runners participated in the 2023 Boston Marathon. Their 2023 times are noted.

According to race officials, 30,239 participants entered last year's, including 17,272 men, 12,940 women and the first-ever designation of non-binary entrants with 27. All 50 states were represented, as well as 106 countries.
