$14K in Copper and Brass Stolen from Construction Site, $2K Earrings Stolen from Home
Police were also called twice to a hotel to settle disputes there.

Suspended Driver’s License
Ebonie P. Harris, 35, of the 3700 block of Greenleaf Ave. in Northbrook, was arrested at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 1 in the 4400 block of West Lake Ave. and charged with Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License. She was released a $2,000 bond with an Oct. 1 court date.

No Valid Driver’s License
Adolfo Toledo, 22, of the 880 block of Piper Ln. in Prospect Heights, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 2 in the 3800 block of East Lake Ave. and charged with driving without a valid license, speeding (26-34 MPH over), illegal transportation of alcohol and no valid registration. He was released on a $1,500 bond with an Oct. 6 court date.

Disorderly Conduct
Someone placed a coffee cup in a mailbox in the 1500 block of Monterey Dr. overnight Aug. 26 and it spilled and damaged three pieces of mail.
Theft
Someone stole a $300 cellphone from inside the bathroom of a business in the 1800 block of Tower Dr. at 10 a.m. Aug. 26.
Theft
Someone stole a locked $800 bicycle from the Metra North Train Station Aug. 26
Suspicious Incident
An older model white BMW was seen parked in the 1100 block of Park Ln. with the lights off at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 26. When a resident walked towards the car, it sped away.
Theft
Someone stole $14,400 worth of copper and brass materials from a fenced-in construction site in the 100 block of Waukegan Rd. overnight Aug. 27.
Suspicious Incident
resident reported receiving a phone call from a male claiming to be with the IRS. The male stated the resident owed $1,998 for taxes from 2011-2012. The resident knew this was a scam and ended the phone call.
Theft
Someone stole a tow hitch cover worth $150 from a vehicle while it was parked in the 2300 block of Patriot Blvd between 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Aggravated Battery
An employee of Belmont Village, 2200 Golf Rd. reported an elderly resident battered another elderly resident after being confused about which room was theirs Aug. 27. No complaints were signed.
Burglary to Vehicle
entered an unlocked car parked in a driveway in the 500 block Warren Road overnight Aug. 28 and stole approximately $30 in coins and a pair of sunglasses.
Burglary to Vehicle
Someone entered an unlocked car parked in a driveway in the 100 block Park Drive overnight Aug. 28 and stole three $50 restaurant gift cards and a $100 gas gift card.
Residential Burglary
Someone pried open a rear window of a home in the 1400 block Sunset Ridge Rd. between 4 and 9 p.m. Aug. 29 and stole a $2,000 pair of earrings and $500 in cash.
Criminal Damage
Officers responded to a hotel in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Ave. at 2 a.m. Aug. 31 for the report of a fight in progress. It was determined that several subjects had a verbal arguement in a room due to people violating the hotel’s no-smoking policy. The renter of the room made restitution for a broken table.
Management / Customer Dispute
Officers responded to the same hotel at 3 a.m. Sept. 1 for a dispute between two guests and the front desk clerk. The guests were upset because they were locked out of their room due to a mechanical error with the lock. They were told a maintenance worker would be in later in the morning to fix the problem and given another room to stay in.
