Accident on I-294 Near Glenview Claims Driver's Life

A driver struck a tow-truck on I-294 near Glenview in the early-morning hours, according to State Police, and was later pronounced dead at Glenbrook Hospital. Kevin J. Horn, 27, of Elgin, was driving a silver 2010 Mazda when he hit the tow truck at 1:46 a.m. The truck was slowing down behind a disabled vehicle near Central Road and the 46.5 mile marker. The tow-truck driver was not hurt. Police had some northbound lanes closed early this morning to investigate the crash.
