Car Strikes Power Line, Closes Roads In Glenview: Police
ComEd crews were on scene Tuesday morning to repair the power line.

GLENVIEW, IL — A car struck a ComEd post Tuesday morning, causing damage to the power line and closing down several roads. According to the Glenview Police Department, ComEd crews were on scene to repair the power line in the 2000 block of Glenview Road.
Glenview Road was closed in both directions between Elm and Washington streets. In addition, Lincoln Street was closed from Dewes Street to Glenview Road. Glenview police said in a community alert sent out at around 7:30 a.m. the roadway was expected to be closed for at least one to two hours. All roads eventually reopened.
Two males fled from the vehicle after the incident. Police believe they have identified the pair and are working to locate them. One is described as wearing pants, carrying a jacket and is less than 6 feet tall. Police have no further description of the second male.
