East Lake Avenue Bridge Improvements To Be Discussed In Glenview
Residents are invited to attend the open house to provide input on the proposed project, which is scheduled to begin in 2026.
GLENVIEW, IL — Next year, the Village of Glenview is looking to start an improvement project on the East Lake Avenue bridge, but would like to discuss it with residents beforehand. A public information open house is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 15 at Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church.
The Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways is hosting the event. Residents are invited to attend the open house to provide input on the proposed project.
The improvements to the bridge over the North Branch of the Chicago River would include full bridge replacement, reconstruction of approximately 600 feet of adjacent roadway, reconstruction and widening of existing sidewalk and construction of a new shared-use path.
