Family Drops Drowning Lawsuit Against Park District
Four-year-old Vincente Cardenas drowned while on a field trip at Roosevelt pool two years ago.

The family of 4-year-old drowning victim Vincente Cardenas has agreed to drop its lawsuit against the Glenview Park District, according to an article in the Glenview Announcements.
Vincente died while on a field trip with his daycare to Roosevelt pool June 15, 2012. A two-month investigation by the Glenview Police Department did not result in any criminal charges.
A lawyer for the Park District said there were several misstatements in the lawsuit, such as overstating the number of people at the pool that day as well as overstating the depth of the pool, which likely contributed to the family’s decision to pull the lawsuit, the Announcements article says.
