Flick Park Soccer Fields to Be Renovated

The following is from the Glenview Park District:

The Glenview Park District Board has partnered with the Glenview chapter of the American Youth Soccer Organization (Glenview AYSO) to renovate the soccer fields at Flick Park, 3600 Glenview Road.  Improvements to the fields will include an underground drainage system, fully automated irrigation system and the soccer fields will be re-graded and new sod installed.  Glenview AYSO is providing a majority of the funding for the enhancements to create a first-rate playing environment and reduce the frequency of rain-related closures.

The construction will begin the week of June 9th after the spring soccer season and is expected to be completed by the end of July. The fields will remain closed until late August, to allow turf establishment prior to the start of the fall soccer season.
