GBS Baseball Runs Past Evanston For CSL South Title

Glenbrook South beat Evanston Township High School 9-2 for the Central Suburban League South title on Monday, CSL Insider reports.

"We've done a good job all year of staying calm, as good a job as any team I've ever had," GBS coach David Lindley told CSL Insider. "The wheels can fall off in the high school game and I think that happened to that Evanston pitcher today at the end. We've got the talent and the tools as a team, but if you don't stay calm and get rattled, you can cancel out that talent."

GBS will compete at home for the regional semifinals on Monday, May 21 at 4:30 p.m. They lead the south division with 13 conference wins and two losses, according to CSL's standings.
