GBS Senior Martinelli Named All-State Boys Basketball Team Member

GLENVIEW, IL — In the fall, Glenbrook South High School senior Nick Martinelli has committed to play basketball and further his education at Elon University. Before then, he is continuing to gain accolades for his final season on the local hardwood.

Martinelli was recently named a first team selection for both the Class 4A Associated Press and Illinois Basketball Coaches Association all-state boys basketball teams. The 6-foot-7 guard/forward finished third in overall voting by IBCA.

Senior teammate Cooper Noard was named to the second team by AP. The 6-foot-2 point guard, who received an honorable mention from IBCA, has committed to Cornell University in the fall.
