The Price of Trees
Glenview Eagle Scout candidate Colin Burrowes, and the Village's Natural Resources Manager, Robyn Flakne, are working together on a project to raise awareness of the economic benefits provided by trees.
Volunteers identified and measured trees on public parkways around the downtown area and tagged them with cards explaining the trees' contributions, such as reducing storm water runoff to raising property values. The tags will stay in place for a while, then be taken down by the Scout volunteers.
