Glenview Police Race In Student Fundraiser

Attea Middle School students raised money for Special Olympics during a benefit race on Wednesday.

Glenview police helped raise $4,000.00 for Special Olympics during a race with Attea and Springman students on Wednesday, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Participants in the third annual Run With The Law event helped support year-round sports training for more than 20,000 athletes, according to the Village of Glenview.

"Hey! We're human beings," Glenview police officer and event organizer John Good told the Tribune. "Cops are not just doughnut eaters and ticket writers. We're here to laugh with you, we're here to have fun with you and we're here to protect you."
