Glenview Reports Over 250 Coronavirus Cases, 21 Deaths
A Glenview newsletter reported 254 coronavirus cases and 21 deaths as of Monday.
GLENVIEW, IL — The village of Glenview is reporting 254 coronavirus cases and 21 total deaths as of Monday, according to data from the Cook County Medical Examiner. Reported numbers are subject to changes while cases are still being investigated.
This amounts to 29 new cases and four additional deaths within a week's time.
In response to Gov. J.B. Pritzker's amended stay-at-home order, which extends the order until the end of May and requires the use of face masks in public areas statewide for anyone over the age of two starting Friday. Glenview was one of the first Chicago suburbs to issue its own supplemental order requiring the use of face coverings in certain public areas to reduce the spread of the virus.
