Glenview Softball Players Hang with Obama on Trip to KC
The girls unexpectedly found themselves in the same BBQ joint as the president.
When the Glenview Titans fast-pitch softball team needed to refuel during a tournament in Kansas City last week, they headed to famed BBQ joint Arthur Bryant for dinner.
Little did they know that the President of the United States was headed in the same direction.
The team was eating dinner when the Secret Service suddenly entered and stopped anyone from coming or going, according to an article on the Glenbrook South website. Then, President Obama came in and sat down in the next booth, along with four Missouri residents he spent the meal with.

After dinner, Obama posed for pictures with the team. There were plenty of selfies taken with the president in the background, as well.
The girls then became minor celebrities in their own right after the chance encounter was captured by local reporters.

The Kansas City Royals invited the Titans to hold a practice in their stadium, according to the local Fox TV station.
The girls tied for 13th place in the USSSA U-16 Fastpitch World Series out of 50 teams.
