Gun Threats Made During Neighbor Fight Over Trash: Glenview Police Blotter
One neighbor said the other accused them of calling the Village over trash problems and aggressively approached them.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

- Patricia McKenzie, 54, of the 0-10 block of S. Seminary Lane, Park Ridge, had a warrant out of Cook County for failure to appear on a driving under the influence charge, and was arrested at 7:50 p.m. Sept. 27, after an investigation in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue. She was processed, placed in a cell pending a court appearance in Cook County.
- Mirjana Dimitric, 35, of the 100 block of Arbor Drive, Rolling Meadows, had a warrant out of DuPage County for failure to appear, and was arrested at 2:09 p.m. Sept. 28, at the Glenview Police Department. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail for a court appearance.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Danielle Emmett, 33, of the 4700 block of Arbor Drive, Rolling Meadows, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, DUI drugs, driving while license revoked, no insurance, and was arrested at 12:06 p.m. Sept. 28, in the 1900 block of Willow Road. She was released and assigned a court date of Sept. 29.

INCIDENTS
THEFT
- A resident of the 1100 block of Vernon Drive reported at 8:01 a.m. Sept. 23, reported placing an order on Amazon for two pairs of Apple AirPods, valued at $499.99 each. They reported that Amazon delivered a box that contained one pair of AirPods and an empty AirPods box. The packaging did not appear to be tampered with.
- A Bette Lane resident reported at 4:40 p.m. Sept. 24, seeing an ad on Craigslist for a pottery wheel. They contacted the seller, who said the item was $700, but they required a $150 deposit. The resident agreed and paid through Zelle, at which time the seller stopped communicating. Estimated loss is $150.
TRESPASSING
A resident of the 1700 block of Greenwood Road called police at 2:31 p.m. Sept. 23, to report someone had trespassed onto the property and used the water hose. They were working on a neighbor's home and asked to use the hose since the home they were working on did not have water, but the homeowner refused. The homeowner left and upon their return, they saw someone entering the property and pulling the hose through a chain linked fence that separated the properties. The person admitted to entering onto the property to use the water hose. They were issued a citation for trespassing and warned not to enter the property again.
AGGRAVATED HOME REPAIR FRAUD
A resident of the 800 block of Greenacres Lane called police at 3:22 p.m. Sept. 23, to report they had paid a construction company $55,000 for a new roof. The construction was supposed to be completed in May, but as of the date of the report, no work had begun. The homeowner said the contractor became difficult to get a hold of and said they had a personal issue and could not start the job as they intended. Officers spoke to the contractor, who said they would refund a portion of the money paid to them, due to the terms of the contract.
WIRE FRAUD
A Strawberry Lane resident called police at 6:26 p.m. Sept. 23, to report having a relationship with someone through the app, Telegram. The resident said the subject eventually asked them to invest in Cryptocurrency. They agreed and deposited $245,800 into a Coinbase.com account. The person later instructed the resident to transfer the funds to a BTXINTLS.com account, and they would help invest the money. The resident said the account reached approximately $1 million, but they were unable to withdraw any funds due to the account being frozen until they paid $43,000 to reactivate it. The resident became suspicious and did not pay the amount requested. The estimated loss is $245,800, which is frozen in the BTX account, and complaints will be signed.
IDENTITY THEFT
A Violet Street resident reported at 7:22 p.m. Sept. 23, receiving a call from a Bank of America employee in their fraud department. They were told their information was used to attempt the purchase of four firearms from gunsamerica.com. The employee explained a Bank of America Premium Rewards Visa credit card with an address in Shanghai, China was the card being used. The transaction did not go through and Bank of America would be reporting the attempt to Homeland Security. There is no financial loss at this time.
HARASSMENT BY ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
An employee of a business in the 4300 block of Di Paolo Circle reported at 5:07 p.m. Sept. 24, a former employee was harassing them. The employer explained they fired the person due to performance. Since then, the ex-employee has sent text messages indicating they were going to call customers to make the business look bad, leave negative reviews online, and wanting to fight the owner. They asked that the person be trespassed from the property. Officers attempted to speak to the ex-employee, who was upset and would not allow the officers to speak before hanging up.
FLEEING AND ELUDING
Police attempted a traffic stop at 9:05 p.m. Sept. 25, on a motorcycle at the intersection of
Patriot Boulevard and Chestnut Avenue, due to a stop sign infraction. The driver of the motorcycle
disregarded the traffic stop and accelerated away at a high rate of speed, exceeding 100 mph.
FRAUD
Employees for a business in the 3300 block of Glenview Road reported at 4:18 pm. Sept. 27, an unknown male entered the store and tried to fill a fictitious prescription at the pharmacy. The suspect fled the store and entered a silver colored hatchback vehicle.
BATTERY
A resident of the 3000 block of Mary Kay Lane reported at 4:44 p.m. Sept. 27, a neighbor pushed them down with both hands, which caused them to strike their head on the ground, during a neighbor dispute over parking and trash issues. The neighbor said that the complainant accused them of calling the Village over trash problems and aggressively approached them and began yelling in their face. They put out their hand to create distance and the complainant lost balance and fell. They said the complainant said they would get a gun and shoot them, which the complainant also confirmed. Parties were separated and peace restored.
