Henking School Hires New Principal From 200 Applicants
Irene Villa was selected as Henking Elementary School's new principal.

After dealing with 200 applicants for the Henking principal position, 40 of which completed screening interviews, the District 34 Board of Education approved Irene Villa as Henking Elementary School principal, according to a press release.
The interview teams in the hiring process valued that Villa holds high standards for all and described her as an educational leader who is a reflective practitioner with all groups including students, teachers and parents.
Villa will begin on August 1 and replaces Dr. Ivy Sukenik, who accepted a principal position at Parkview School in Morton Grove District 70.
