Hit-and-Run Accident Leads to DUI Arrest

Retail Theft
Shysh, 30, of the 1600 block of Verde in Mundelein, was arrested in the 1900 block of Tower Rd. Oct. 5 and charged with misdemeanor theft.

Retail Theft
April I. Jeter, 24, of the 1700 block of S. Fallbrook Dr. in Round Lake, was arrested the 1900 block of Tower Rd. Oct. 6 and charged with felony retail theft. Jeter was transported to bond court where she received a $20,000 bond and an Oct. 15 court date.

Zero Tolerance
Kevin A. Rivera-Mesa, 20, of the 7300 block of S. Octavia Ave. in Bridgeview, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 6 and charged with Zero Tolerance, disobeying a red light and disobeying a stop sign after a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Lehigh Ave. He has a Nov. 5 court date.
Suspended Driver’s License
Marco A. Patino, 24, of the 3700 block of N. Francisco Ave. in Chicago, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 6 in the 3500 block of Milwaukee Ave. and charged with driving on a suspended license. He was released on bond with a Nov. 4 court date.

Frederick L. Dunn, 39, of the 10000 block of Linda Ln. in Des Plaines, was arrested at Milwaukee Ave. and Central Rd. at 2 a.m. Oct. 8 and charged with driving with a suspended license, speeding 11-14 MPH over the limit and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on a $1,500 bond and given a Nov. 7 court date.

Endy Etienne, 37, of the 900 block of Mulfiord St. in Evanston, was arrested in the 1300 block of Greenwood Rd. at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 8 and charged with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop. He was released on a $1,500 bond and given a Nov. 4 court date.

Ira S. Alper, 50, of the 500 block of N. Ada Ave. in Chicago, was arrested in the 1900 block of East Lake Ave. at 8 p.m. Oct. 9 after a traffic stop and charged with driving while license suspended, no proof of insurance and failure to signal when required. He was released on a $2,000 bond and given a Nov. 4 court date.
DUI
Ignacio Cortez-Rojas, 24, of the 8200 block of W. Dempster St. in Niles, was arrested at the intersection on Gregory Dr. and Milwaukee Ave. at 10:30 p.m. Oct. 9 after an investigative traffic stop for a hit-and-run accident. He was charged with DUI; DUI: BAC over .08; leaving the scene of an accident; failure to give aid or information for accident and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released on a $3,000 bond and given a Nov. 7 court date.
