It's almost time for kids to head back to school. To prepare for the upcoming school year, we've compiled a list of important dates for 2016-2017 calendar year:

Glenview Public School District 34

  • First Day for Students(1st–8th Grade) - Aug. 23
  • First Day for Kindergarten (Last Name Starts with A–L) Aug. 24
  • First Day for Kindergarten (Last Name Starts with M–Z) Aug. 25
  • All Kindergarten Students in Attendance - Aug. 26
  • First Day for Early Childhood Students - Aug. 30
  • Labor Day – District Closed - Sept. 5
  • District Closed - Oct. 3 & Oct. 12
  • Fall Parent/Teacher Conference Day – No Students in Attendance (Support Staff Institute Day) - Oct. 21
  • Institute Day – No Students in Attendance - Nov. 8
  • Institute Day (for staff without 6 conference hours) – No Students in Attendance - Nov. 23
  • Thanksgiving Break – District Closed - Nov. 24-25
  • Winter Break - Dec. 23- Jan. 6
  • Martin Luther King Day – District Closed - Jan. 16
  • President’s Day - District Closed - Feb. 20
  • Spring Parent/Teacher Conference Day – No Studentsin Attendance - March 3
  • Spring Break - March 27-31
  • Institute Day – No Students in Attendance - April 3
  • District Closed - April 14
  • Memorial Day – District Closed - May 29
  • Last Day for Early Childhood Students - June 2
