Kids Make 100-Foot, Peanut-Free Sandwich
The mega-sandwich's creation at the Kohl Children's Museum in Glenview kicked off Food Allergy Awareness Week.
Area kids kicked off Food Allergy Awareness Week by making a 100-foot peanut- and tree nut-free sandwich at the Kohl Children’s Museum this weekend.
The sandwich used soy nut butter and jelly on two 50-foot loaves of bread. The bread, from the Highland Baking Company in Northbrook, was made by using a gutter as a baking pan.
