Man Pulled Over for Speeding Arrested for Aggravated DUI on Huntington

The following information is from the Glenview Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Retail Theft

Winfred U. Barnett, 49, of the 8100 block of Kilpatrick Avenue in Skokie, was arrested in the 800 block of Waukegan Road Oct. 2 after he was seen leaving a store in the 1000 block of Waukegan Road. Barnett had been identified as having stolen liquor from the store previously. Barnett was charged with two counts of Felony Retail Theft. Bone was set at $25,000 with an Oct. 15 court date.

Obstructing Justice / Warrant

Richard M. Ramos, 20, of the 5800 block of W. Addison Street in Chicago, was taken into custody Oct. 3 at the Glenview Police Department for two active Cook County warrants and additional charges for Obstructing Justice and Obstructing Identification. One warrant was for Possession of a Controlled Substance and the second for a BFW for Possession of Less than 2.5 Grams of Cannabis. Ramos provided false identification information for a Glenview arrest in September to avoid arrest on the two active warrants. He was transported to bond court.

No Valid Driver License

Fermin Lopez, 62, of the 1100 block of Boxwood Drive in Mount Prospect, was involved in a car crash in the 1700 block of Milwaukee Avenue at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 3. He was charged with Driving without a Valid License. Bond was set at $1,500 and he was given an Oct. 24 court date.

No Valid Driver License

Cristian D. Gomez, 22, of the 10300 block of Dearlove Road, was involved in a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Central Road and Milwaukee Avenue at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 4. Gomez was arrested and charged with Driving without a Valid License. Bond was set at $1,500 and he was given an Oct. 24 court date.

Aggravated Driving Under the Influence

Juan A. Martinez, 28, of the 0-100 block of Schoenbeck Road in Wheeling, was stopped in the 1400 block of Huntington Drive at 1 a.m. Ot. 5 for Speeding and was charged with Felony Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and No Valid Driver License. He was awaiting transport to bond court.

Criminal Trespass to Residence

Jose M. Nunez, 23, of the 300 block of 3rd St. in Glenview, and Dontay Marshall, 26, of the 10400 block of Dearlove Rd. in Glenview, were arrested in the 500 block of 5th St. in Glenview at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 5 and charged with criminal trespass to residence. Both were released on $1,000 bond and given Oct. 24 court dates.
