New Yorker Threatens To Blow Something Up At Biz: Glenview Police Blotter
The person told police that they were upset with customer service at the business.

John Illarde, 34, of the 20 block of Carolyn Court, Lake Zurich, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 5:08 a.m. Oct. 5, in the 1900 block of Westleigh Drive. He was released and assigned a court date of Nov. 13.
VIOLATION OF ORDER OF PROTECTION

Christopher Ray, 30, of the 1400 block of Oxford Street, Carol Stream, is accused of violating an order of protection, and was arrested at 6:01 a.m. Oct. 2, in the 1700 block of Greenwood Road. He also had a warrant out of Cook County.
STALKING
Max Nguyen, 37, of the 3900 block of Sherwin Avenue, Lincolnwood, is accused of felony stalking, and was arrested at 9:25 a.m. Oct. 2, at the Glenview Police Department.

INCIDENTS
ANIMAL BITE
A resident of the 2000 block of Glenview Road reported at 12:17 p.m. Sept. 30, that a dog belonging to a resident in the 2100 block of Glenview Road had broken free from its owner and bit their dog. After an investigation, the resident was issued village ordinance citations for animal bite and dangerous dog.
INTOXICATED PERSON
Police responded to a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road at 1:14 p.m. Sept. 30, for a report of someone throwing up gang signs and making sexual remarks. Officers contacted a person, who was verbally combative and uncooperative, and was drinking from a can. They were issued a village ordinance citation for drinking/intoxicated in public.
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
A resident reported t 12:10 p.m. Oct. 1, an unknown male had approached them and threatened to kill them for the way they had looked at them. The resident did not respond and left the area.
IDENTITY THEFT
A Waukegan Road resident called police at 2:03 p.m. Oct. 1, to report someone had opened up five Verizon accounts in their name. The total loss is $1,096.97.
BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
A resident of the 200 block of Greenwood Avenue called police at 2:28 a.m. Oct. 2, to report someone had broken into one of their vehicles parked on the property. The suspect took sunglasses valued at $450.
THEFT
- A resident reported at 12:26 p.m. Oct. 2, someone had stolen their wedding ring while they were at a business in the 1400 block of Waukegan Road. This occurred after they took off the ring to try on another ring, and it was left at the store Sept. 8. Total loss of $9,000.
- An employee of a business in the 300 block of Waukegan Road reported at 2:41 p.m. Oct. 2, someone had sent $200,000 via wire for a refund. The business IT team said the unknown person used a VPN in Dallas and Boston and hacked one of their client's emails.
- A resident reported at 5:59 p.m. Oct. 3, that they had secured their bike at the train station in the 1000 block of Depot Street at 6:42 a.m., but it was gone when they returned. The bike was valued at $900.
TRESPASS WARNING
- An employee of a business in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 12:39 p.m. Oct. 2, that a Chicago resident was passed out in the hotel parking lot. The person was taken home to Chicago without incident.
- An employee of a business in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road reported at 6:21 p.m. Oct. 2, a West Chicago resident was intoxicated and thought their glasses were stolen at the business. The glasses were located in the bathroom. Per the business, they were given a trespass warning and left the area.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Employees of a business in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 1:02 p.m. Oct. 2, to report a New York resident had been given a verbal trespass warning after they called the business and said they would blow something up. Officers spoke with the person, who related they did call and were frustrated with the customer service. They denied making any threats.
UNWANTED PERSON
An employee of a business in the 4500 block of West Lake Avenue called police at 7:50 a.m. Oct. 3, to report a patron had pushed a bottle of soda off the hotel counter. The patron said they did not push the bottle off the counter, but slid it to the employee, and it fell off the counter on accident. The person left without incident.
RETAIL THEFT
- Police responded to a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road on Oct. 3 for a delayed retail theft report. Loss prevention at the store said at 5:34 p.m. on the previous day, someone had placed several steaks into their pants and left the store in a dark-colored SUV without paying. The suspect was recognized as having done this before. Estimated loss is $111.94.
- An employee for a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road reported at 5:41 p.m. Oct. 4, a 35 to 40-year-old Asian man had stolen an unknown amount of meat product on three separate occasions.
