Nominations Open For Environmental Sustainability Awards Program In Glenview

Nominations will be reviewed and selected by the Glenview Environmental Sustainability Awards Committee.

GLENVIEW, IL — In its eighth year, the annual Environmental Sustainability Awards program is underway in Glenview. The Village's Environment and Natural Resources Commission oversees the program that honors environmental stewardship, innovative best practices and community outreach.

According to officials, nominees can be any individual or organization, including businesses, schools, houses of worship and volunteer groups that serve the Glenview community. To nominate themselves or be nominated by another, an individual or organization should have completed the activities and achieved results that support the nomination from Sept. 2024 through Sept. 2025.

The nominations will be reviewed and selected by the Glenview Environmental Sustainability Awards Committee. The Glenview Village Board will recognize the winners next year.

Nominations will need to provide a narrative piece describing the experience, rationale for taking action, successes and environmental results or changes in practices generated or influenced. Applications must be submitted by email. The nomination form is online at glenview.il.us/ESawards and is due by Dec. 1.
