Northbrook Man Charged With 4 Counts Of Criminal Sexual Assault: Glenview Police Blotter

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

IDENTITY THEFT

  • Alton Semmons, 38, of the 2000 block of S. 11th Avenue, Maywood, is accused of felony identity theft, and was arrested at 5:47 p.m. Oct. 31. The arrest followed an investigation in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue.
  • Petyon Weglarz, 32, of the 12100 block of S. 72nd Court, Palos Heights, is accused of aggravated identity theft ($10,000 to $100,000), misappropriation of financial institution property ($10,000 to $100,000), and was arrested at 12 p.m Oct. 25, at the Oak Lawn Police Department. The arrest followed an investigation into an incident in January 2023 in Glenview. She was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 14, 2026.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Edmundo Lopez Dominguez, 26, of the 9000 block of Washington Drive, Des Plaines, is accused of driving under the influence, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 11:11 p.m. Nov. 2, in the 700 block of Waukegan Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 5.

CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT

Erdenetsogt Dugerjav, 48, of the 3700 block of Salem Walk, Northbrook, is accused of four counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault with bodily harm, and was arrested at 10:52 p.m. Oct. 26, in the 7400 block of Talcott Avenue, Chicago. The arrest followed an investigation into an incident that occurred in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue on Oct 25.

INCIDENTS

BURGLARY FROM VEHICLE

  • A resident in the 1400 block of London Lane reported at 6:33 a.m. Oct. 28, someone had rummaged through their unlocked vehicle sometime overnight, but it is unknown if anything is missing.
  • A resident in the 1400 block of Meadow Lane reported at 8:29 a.m. Oct. 28, someone had entered their vehicle sometime overnight. A backpack and Macbook were taken. Total loss is $1550.
  • A resident of the 1300 block of Elizabeth Lane reported at 9:14 a.m. Oct. 28, four people were seen on video surveillance arriving in a light colored crossover vehicle and one of them rummaged through their unlocked vehicle, while the others checked other vehicles in the neighborhood. Nothing appears to be taken.
  • A resident in the 1400 block of Meadow Lane reported at 8:55 a.m. Oct. 28, that their unlocked vehicle was entered overnight. It was unknown at the time of the report if anything had been taken. The two involved were seen coming from a light colored SUV. Both appeared to be between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot, thin builds, wearing sweatshirts, gloves, and black face coverings.
  • A resident of the 1400 block of London Lane reported at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 28, that someone had entered their unlocked vehicle sometime between Oct 22 ad Oct. 26. Jewelry was taken.
  • A resident of the 1400 block of Brandon Road called police at 6:01 p.m. Oct. 28, to report someone had entered both their unlocked vehicles that had been parked in the driveway sometime overnight. Items were rummaged through, but nothing appeared to be missing.
  • A resident of the 2000 block of Avalon Court reported that between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Oct. 28, someone had removed their purse from their vehicle while they unloaded groceries at their residence. The credit cards were canceled. Police said $75 and a driver’s license were also in the vehicle.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO VEHICLE

A resident of the 1300 block of Bonnie Glen Lane reported at 12:51 p.m. Oct. 28, someone had entered their unlocked vehicle overnight. Nothing appeared to be taken.

IDENTITY THEFT

  • A resident of the 1900 block of Glenview Road reported on Oct. 28, that on Sept. 26, they had mailed a check to Nicor for $123 at a mailbox. When they received their bank statement, they found the check payee changed and the amount changed to $2,147.35.
  • A Cariann Lane resident reported at 10:32 a.m. Oct. 30, receiving a call from someone identifying themselves as a fraud specialist from Chase Bank, and a second person saying they were from the FBI. They requested personal information from the resident, which they provided. Afterward, they sought the advice of a friend, who told them it was a scam.

INFORMATION FOR POLICE

A resident of the 900 block of Long Road called police at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 28, to report receiving a text message asking them to verify a purchase made to Apple that had a telephone number. They called the number and the unknown male asked them for personal information, which they provided before realizing it was a scam. They went to their bank and put a freeze on their account and were provided an identity theft pamphlet. No financial loss at this time.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

A resident in the 1400 block of Pleasant Lane reported at 2:11 a.m. Oct. 30, unknown people were seen on video in a vehicle. One had been holding a garbage can and struck their mailbox while it drove by, causing damage. The garbage can was down the block. Estimated damage is $500.

TRESPASSING

Employees for a business in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 12:14 p.m. Oct. 30, to report a customer was refusing to leave. Officers spoke with them through a closed door that they refused to open. They remained in the room and were given a trespass warning to vacate, which they ignored.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

A delivery driver reported at 4:48 p.m. Oct. 30, delivering a package to a resident in the 2400 block of Fontana Drive, who came out and started yelling at the driver about their parking, saying they were making comments about them. The resident left the area and officers were unable to make contact with them.

IMPERSONATING AN OFFICER

A resident in the 800 block of Juniper Road reported at 5:50 p.m. Oct. 30, receiving a phone call from someone identifying themselves as a sergeant with the Cook County Civil Processing Unit, telling them that they have a warrant for their arrest. They also received a text message showing a warrant. Officers confirmed there is no warrant for their arrest, and Cook County does not have anyone by that name employed.

BATTERY

  • An employee for a business in the 2900 block of Old Willow Road reported at 9:18 p.m. Oct. 30, that another employee told them to move their truck and then backed up quickly toward them, which they thought they would be struck. The employee went inside to speak with the manager about the incident, but the second employee approached them and punched them in the face, causing them to fall.
  • A Michigan resident reported at 8:37 p.m. Nov. 1, that they were attacked by a coworker while at a business in the 2600 block of Lehigh Avenue. The complainant related they were struck around 20 times with a closed fist in the face area. The fire department treated and released them on scene. Officers attempted to make contact with the person by phone, with negative results.

THEFT BY DECEPTION

An Estate Lane resident reported at 1:32 p.m. Nov. 1, that they believe their online boyfriend may be scamming them. They said the boyfriend sent documents that showed he was having legal issues in another country. The resident ultimately decided to send the boyfriend $50,000 to help him.

FRAUD

An Ammer Ridge Court resident reported at 11:59 a.m. Nov. 2, a pop-up on their computer which said to call Windows Support and gave a phone number. They called the number and the male told them that they would be getting a refund of $150, but then said he accidentally sent $15,000. He told them to go to the bank, kept them on the phone, and said to withdraw $15,000, which they did successfully. They were then told to deposit it into a Bitcoin ATM in Wilmette. They deposited $5,000 before the machine malfunctioned. The resident hung up with the caller and spoke with their daughter, who advised it was a scam. Total loss is $5,000.
