Recycling Event Rescheduled For September In Glenview
The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County is hosting the electronics recycling and document destruction collection.

GLENVIEW, IL — A recycling event, originally scheduled for July, has been moved to September. According to the Village of Glenview, the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County will be holding the electronics recycling and document destruction collection from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 6, at Glenview Village Hall, 2500 East Lake Ave.
Officials said proper disposal of unwanted electronics is important, as discarded devices can contain toxic materials that contaminate soil and leach into groundwater, posing risks to human health and the environment.
For those unable to attend, SWANCC also accepts electronics for recycling every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Glenview Transfer Station, 3 Providence Way, Glenview.
