Savor The Flavors At Taste Of Glenview Fundraising Event

GLENVIEW, IL — Resident have a chance to enjoy a "flavorful evening" this weekend with the return of Taste of Glenview. Presented by The Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise and Glenview Firefighters Local 4186, it features 10 of Glenview's favorite restaurants, live music and more.

Taste of Glenview will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m Saturday, at the Glenview Park Center. Tickets are $65 for dinner, which includes access to a silent auction, and can be purchased here.

"The funds raised from this event allow the Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise to support local organizations and perform service projects throughout the year," said Marcia Cebula, club president. "Having fun while helping others is what we’re all about."

The Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise, founded in 1988, said its goals are to encourage and foster the idea of service as a basis of worthy enterprise. With around 50 members, the organization aims to "uplift and serve the Glenview community." Among the organizations Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise will help with Taste of Glenview are Debra Gelfand Foundation, Scouts, Wesley Day Care, I Am Me Burn Camp, Northfield Township Food Pantry, Helping Hands, Rebuilding Together, and Glenview Youth Services.

Glenview Firefighters Local 4186 represents the active and retired firefighters, lieutenants and captains of the Glenview Fire Department. Established in 2002, Local 4186 is "dedicated to securing improvements in safety, benefits, wages, and working conditions for our members and working families everywhere."

As part of Taste of Glenview, attendees will sample an exciting array of small plates that include savory dishes and sweet treats that "reflect the vibrant flavors of the community." Restaurants include Café Lucci, Greenwood Grill, Lazy Dog, Rio Bamba, Valley Lodge Tavern, Awesome Juice Bar, Gusto Italiano, Joe Donut, North Branch, and Clove.
