GLENVIEW, IL — A perennial favorite, the 49th annual Summer Fest returns to downtown Glenview in a couple of weeks, and organizers promise this edition won't disappoint. Scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 21, the free festival will include more than 100 vendors, including 11 food vendors, booths, free games, health services, home enhancements, gift ideas and a range of delectable food and beverages "for every taste bud."

"This event has changed over the years with different locations, different vendors and a different name, but the goal has always been to connect our local businesses with the community," Meghan Kearney, executive director of the Glenview Chamber of Commerce, tells Patch. "We love to see new faces, as well as old friends."

Summer Fest is held over two village blocks of Lehigh, from Glenview Road to Washington. It features a variety of local businesses, services and unique products – including a special kids’ area with balloon artists, carnival-style games, face painting, fire pole and much more – making it a full, best-of-Glenview day to remember.
