1-Year-Old Pup in Bag Thrown From Moving Vehicle; Round Lake Park Police Investigate

Police in nearby Round Lake Park are hoping to arrest whoever is responsible for tossing a 1-year-old Puggle out of a window.

ROUND LAKE PARK, IL -- Police were still trying to figure out Tuesday who was responsible for throwing a 1-year-old Puggle from a moving vehicle in Round Lake Park over the weekend.

The pooch, Misty, was remarkably unharmed in the incident, according to a NBC 5 story. Police reportedly found her around 6:22 p.m. on Sunday near Washington Street and Fairlawn Drive.

"A woman is walking to work and sees a white SUV drive by on Washington and sees someone throw a (garbage) bag out the window," Round Lake Park Police Chief George Filenko told the Daily Herald.

The same witness then noticed that the bag was moving and peeked inside to find Misty unscathed. Filenko, who owns a Puggle himself, has told media he intends to make an arrest in the case.

He reunited Misty with her family members, whom he had recalled meeting in town. Her owners said she had escaped from their home around 5 p.m. that day.
