18-Year-Old Dies In High Speed Crash Near Grayslake
Despite wearing a seatbelt, the driver was ejected from his Subaru WRX, the Lake County Sheriff's Department said.

GRAYSLAKE, IL β Authorities in Lake County are investigating a Wednesday morning crash that left one person dead in Avon Township, near Grayslake.
The crash happened around 9:05 a.m. on Rollins Road, east of Drury Lane, the Lake County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.
Authorities said a 2004 Subary WRX, driven by an 18-year-old man from Round Lake Beach, was driving westbound on Rollins Road at the time of the crash.

The crash happened when the Subaru's driver lost control of the car, sending it into a slide across Rollins Road, according to the release.
The Subaru struck an eastbound 2008 Toyota Tundra, ejecting the Subaru's driver. The 36-year-old driver of the Tundra, a man from McHenry, was uninjured.

The 18-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, authorities said.
An autopsy will be conducted, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
