3 Lake County Businesses Fail Tobacco Compliance Checks

LAKE COUNTY, IL — Three Lake County businesses failed recent tobacco compliance checks, authorities said.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office conducted tobacco compliance checks throughout January at businesses that sell tobacco products throughout the county, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

Of the 74 businesses checked, the following three businesses failed to display proper tobacco sale signage and request identification to ensure products are not sold to anyone under the age of 21 years old, authorities said.
