The collision happened when a 2025 Chevrolet Corvette heading west on Peterson Road hit a 2020 GMC sport utility vehicle, which was headed east on Peterson Road. The crash occurred while the SUV was trying to turn left.

The collision caused the SUV to roll over several times, and a 12-year-old child was ejected from the backseat of the SUV, police said.
All six people involved in the crash were taken to area hospitals. The 12-year-old child was later transported to Lurie Children's Hospital due to the nature of the injuries, police said.
