Cacao Sweets & Treats to Open This Month

Let the countdown begin!

is set to officially open its doors May 24.

The popular Grayslake Farmers Market vendor will bring its natural and organic sweets to 122 Center St. Started by owner Candice Hunsinger in 2009, Cacao Sweets & Treats will offer items that are now available on the company's website, including favorites like the Champagne Cocktail, Chocolate Salted Caramel and Guinness Stout Beer Cupcakes.

There are also items like Cashew Brownies, S'mores Bars, Oatmeal Cream Pies and Cake Truffles.

Cacao will also offer boutique items like gourmet foods, The Persimmon Tree Teas, Jo Snow Syrups, glass straws from Strawesome, reusable coffee filters and vegetable-based crayons.
